BLISSAIR receives UK approval from the British Civil Aviation Authority for its full-flight simulator

The German aviation company BLISSAIR has now also received UK approval from the British Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for its full-flight simulator (FFS) with the Beechcraft BE90/99/100 and 200 series from KingAir. This means that pilots from the United Kingdom will be able to train safely and cost-effectively in Bocholt in western Germany and even fly the model in real life if required. This is because BLISSAIR also has the turboprop aircraft from Beechcraft in its fleet programme.

The UK approval plays a crucial role when European airlines and pilot training centres want to operate in the UK or employ trained pilots there. ‘Now that we have approval from both the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), we can serve the most important markets in Europe and offer our customers an optimal training experience,’ says a delighted CEO Franz-Hermann Enk

BLISSAIR uses a full-flight simulator from CAE. The full-motion base with six degrees of freedom, the real visual system and the precise sound processors give the pilot an absolutely realistic flight experience. The device is certified according to CS-FSTD(A) Issue 2 (approach-to-stall) for upset prevention, recovery training and UPRT.

The hours flown in the FFS are equivalent to flight hours in a real aircraft. ‘The training value is even considerably higher on the full-flight simulator because many manoeuvres can only be performed on it for training purposes,’ says entrepreneur Franz-Hermann Enk.  The service portfolio is therefore not only of interest to aviation companies, but also to private owners, flight schools (ATOs) and Type Rating Examiners (TRE).
